3. The Christian Ghetto: Building Communities of Resistance

Several members of the Christian Ghetto joined me to broach the issue of building communities able to resist the regime.

After fellow Christian Ghetto dezien

of the “Becoming Noble” Substack wrote his “Teleocracy & Prestige,” I knew that we would have to find a way to have a discussion. We eventually worked out a date and time and were joined by some other members of the Christian Ghetto group chat, namely and . When of the “KarlStack” Substack expressed interest, I invited him to join us as well. Together, we spent a productive hour discussing the need for dissident communities and how to attract the kind of competent, capable people you will need to both lead and fill the ranks of any meaningful resistance to the regime. It was a good start, but this is a topic that is really in its infancy. It will need more talk and doing down the road. But we have to begin somewhere. I have linked below the pieces which were referenced during the discussion:

Dissidents with elite potential must join liberal organizations
As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. I. I spent a decade working for private sector organizations that are considered elite within the fields of tech and consulting, and then I left. The Christian Answer to the Liberal Idea of Individualism
Now that I am not scrolling through Twitter all the time so as to keep myself in “the flow,” I have found myself once again reading more mainstream conservative publications. While it is useful to reconnect with ideas floating out in the “mainstream-o-sphere,” and while getting in touch with things written to catch and hold the interest of the “average” conservative or right-wing reader has been instructive, it has also reminded me once again how many of the ideas that we take to be “conservative” are in fact actually destructive left wing ideas. They are often earlier iterations of liberal ideas, old enough now that clinging to them gives the illusion of conservatism without its reality. It is easy to look back at the older forms of liberalism with fondness and optimism, thinking that if we just “return” or rescue these ideas from the corrupting influence of the current left we will be able to recover a hopeful future for our society…

The Loss of Community and the Role of the State in a Mass, Market Driven Society
Community. This is one of those words which gets thrown around all the time. There is a kind of mystique to it. A sense of longing. We all seem to want it. We all claim that we are a part of some community or another, even if it’s just an online community. But one gets the sense that we talk about it so much because so few of us experience real community any more. It seems like the kind of thing that, if you have it, you don’t need to talk about it. So what is community? What are its characteristics? How do we know it when we see it? And why is it so important to understand what a community is and the role it is supposed to play in society? If we don’t, we cannot properly understand the role that our political institutions—that is, “the state”—must play in today’s mass society…
