Absolutely first-rate discussion. I especially liked the explanation of framing versus content. We get hung up on content and miss the observation our cultural enemies frame the whole argument. They get to decide pronouns matter, and we lose time fighting back.
I hadn't thought about the notion a community provides identity which can act as a shield against an off-the-shelf identity provided by societal fads. If you are a church going type there is a reason you are probably not confused about your gender.
