I also recall him saying something about selling scrips for swords

The neat thing about ontology violations is that they code as magical experiences. Though through that lens, something like "the metaphysical unjustifiability of necessary political violence" codes as a demonic horror. But it's fun, like imagining your survival instinct as a vicious tiger spirit-guide.
