I had Last Things on to talk about his recent conversion to Roman Catholicism. We begin there and then range out to talk about a number of related topics. I think you will enjoy the discussion.
2022. Had a dream in which a voice told me to read Mark. Woke up with a text from my mom with a passage from Mark. So of course i had to read. Never read the Bible despite being raised in the Church. Read the New Testament. And that was it. When i was done, i figured the death and resurrection of Christ is the only real thing that’s ever happened in history.
Luckily there is a Latin Mass right around the corner from us.
Also, im surrounded by these metro parents. Game nights can really send me over the edge. If they knew my based thoughts, im sure there would be no more game nights.
My wife and I are pregnant with our first child. I want him to grow up in the Church but have no idea how to do it in the right way. I grew up Southern Baptist and could not be bothered with it. It really turned me off. And Still does, i think.
I digress. Awesome episode guys! Got the noggin joggin’.
Kruptos, you mentioned in this conversation and elsewhere being part of reformed Dutch community, but I think people really don't understand what that means.
"If you ain't Dutch, you ain't much" is kind of a joke but not really.
Having worked as a mason tender for a Dutch descendent brick layer from Zeeland, Michigan, I think have a better understanding than a lot of people.
Unless you are on the inside, it is hard for people to understand. This is why I have a hard time grasping the idea of "white." I don't really think of myself that way. I am a "minority" who kind of looks like you do.
Had a great time speaking with Kruptos!
Same here!
Will say a rosary for your wife tonight! Keep on the path and she’ll eventually see the fruits in your life and convert
*and kids
